This service is offered by Svenska Mässan Gothia Towers AB, corp. ID no. 559080-8290, Mässans Gata 24, 402 26 Gothenburg.
These general terms and conditions apply to purchases of Gift Cards on Svenska Mässan Gothia Towers AB’s (“SMGT”) website (“the Website”).
SMGT reserves the right to change these general terms and conditions from time to time, but it is the general terms and conditions applicable at the time of purchase that apply.
PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
Read more about how SMGT processes personal data at https://gothiatowers.com/om-oss/dataskydd/integritetspolicy/
You must be over 18 years of age to order a Gift Card. An order can be placed on the Website by placing a Gift Card in the basket and then proceeding to “Pay” to select the delivery and payment method. Once this has been selected, continue to confirm the order and select the payment method. Once the order has been submitted, a confirmation will be sent to your e-mail address.
PAYMENT AND VALIDITY
All prices on the Website are in Swedish kronor and include VAT. The period of validity of the Gift Card varies. Please see the product information for the Gift Card in question.
The Website processes payment using Nets’ card payment solution.
Card payments can be made using VISA and MasterCard. Once you have selected card payment, Nets’ payment window will open. The payment process is then simple and secure.
The payment is secured by Nets’ (www.nets.se) as the payment service provider. Nets’ systems are approved by all Swedish banks and certified in accordance with PCI DSS by VISA and MasterCard for processing payment transactions at the highest level of security. All communication between the Website and the relevant credit card’s bank is handled by Nets and encrypted via SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). You can see that the payment is being made on a secure page because the address where you enter the card information starts with https:// and because a padlock symbol is displayed in the top left-hand corner of your computer’s browser. SMGT therefore never has access to your card information and so cannot register or store any card details.
Nets supports 3D Secure in order to identify the cardholder for online purchases and so reduce the risk of misuse of card details. If your card is protected by 3D Secure you will be connected to the relevant bank for verification before the payment is approved.
Any attempt at fraud will be reported to the police and SMGT reserves the right to cancel a purchase if fraud is suspected.
Physical Gift Cards are sent inactivated by post and are activated after three days. Digital Gift Cards are sent via text message or e-mail and are activated immediately.
This section on cancellation rights is only applicable to private individuals.
The consumer’s cancellation rights are regulated in the Swedish Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (2005:59). This means that in general you can cancel your purchase within 14 days from receipt of the order, provided that none of the value of the gift card has been used.
Any complaints regarding Gift Cards should be sent, along with your name and address, order number and the reason for the complaint by post or e-mail to:

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
SMGT reserves the right to correct typos on the Website.
SMGT, from time to time, may offer or link to services or products on the Website supplied by third parties (such as payment services, insurance and social networks). SMGT accepts no responsibility for such services. Separate terms and conditions apply to such services. It is important to read all such terms and conditions carefully, as they constitute an agreement between you and a third party.
If SMGT is prevented from delivering a Gift Card due to circumstances beyond SMGT’s and SMGT’s suppliers’ control, known as “force majeure”, including but not limited to war, extreme weather conditions, power or network outages, labour strikes or blockades, and the risk of any such obstacle could not have been taken into consideration at the time the agreement was entered into and could not reasonably have been avoided, SMGT shall be entitled to postpone fulfilment for as long as required to remove the effects of any such obstacle.
Efforts should initially be made to resolve any dispute by mutual agreement. If no such agreement can be reached, the dispute will be settled in a general court under Swedish law.
Private individuals can also contact their local municipality for consumer guidance, or refer any dispute to Sweden’s National Board for Consumer Disputes where the board has jurisdiction. In the event of any dispute, SMGT will abide by the National Board for Consumer Disputes’ recommendations.
In the event of any questions, please contact SMGT via e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or call +46 (0)31-750 88 00.
